The narrative in the remake is a lot better ad so is the effects however, the original is more gory. The quality in the remake is a lot better and is digital quality rather than video. The main characters throughout the film have stayed the same and so has Jason's costume.

There are a few minor adjustments to the story, but overall it has stayed the same. However, in the remake there are lots of computer generated affects and a lot of nudity which the original does not include. Another difference is the soundtrack that was used and the fact that the remake is digital quality not video. The setting has also changed slightly as the original was set at a lake and the remake is on a beach.

Even though the special affects in the original superman were quite good, the 2013 remake surpasses it due to the development in technology. A difference between both films is the quality as the original film would of been recorded on a video tape and the remake is 3D digital quality. The costume on superman in both films has stayed the same. Another thing that has stayed the same is the characters and they have chosen another handsome looking man to play the part of Superman in the remake. The setting has also stayed the same.
